Currently I have 3 Exchange servers in my environment. I had to make some changes to the layout and since I have had multiple issues.
The previos layout was as follows: 1 Mailbox server running in an Egenera Blade Center that is our primary Exchange box, It has over heavy users on it. second. 1 Bridgehead server with about 100 resource calendars setup on it. the machine was running on a VM Server inside of the Egenera Blade Center. It is also worht noting that this is also the Routing Group Master. 1 OWA-Front end server that was running on the smae virtual Server inside the Egenera .
New Config-Basicallly I moved the already virtualized servers (Bridgehead & OWA) out of the Blade Center and into an ESX infrastructure. Now for the performance issue I am having:
Multiple messages building up inside the local Delivery Que. The Queue does handle them eventually but previously there were never any messages in any of the queues. Outlook slow to resond, as in when I Change from one message to another or Calendar view to Message view it may take anywhere from 5 to 20 seconds when before it would only take milliseconds. Also when sending messages are hanging in the outbox for up to 15 seconds.
ANy Ideas on why moving the aforementioned servers would have such a negative impact on users that are utilizing the unmoved mailbox still inside Egenera. I realize that the primary Mailbox Server must communicate with the Bridgehead and the Routing Group Master but is this enough to cause such reductions in performance.
Thanks
