The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

I use WinXP Pro on my home computer, I have the McAfee SecurityCenter provide through Comcast, and I use Internet Explorer 7. (This is my home computer, and I am not on a network, but I don't know what the best category is to list this under --- Sorry)

A few hours ago, I went to a site and clicked on something that apparently downloaded two trojans (Generic.downloader.x --and-- vundo.gen.m). Though my updated McAfee suite caught them, I have some files/directories that keep appearing, namely GetModule29.exe which I found running in my processes. Under Program Files is its directory (GetModule). [There is another directory of suspect that might be associated with it which is also under Program Files: iClick.] Each time I reboot, the GetModule29.exe gets turned on in my StartUp menu.

So far, I have done a complete scan with McAfee SecurityCenter, and it found nothing. I used a program called Reanimator.exe which did not pick up anything relevant when I rebooted. ALSO, everytime I reboot, those two previously mentioned trojans get caught at startup AGAIN.

I have turned off my system restore, I have repeated done disk cleanups, and looked for answers on the Internet. Right now, the only thing I find is something associated with GetModule27, with no helpful information about removing it except updating my DAT files from McAfee (which are already updated).

What additional information do I need to provide for you to assist me with getting rid of this problem?
