Please tell me the procedure for enabling the port 1433 in windows xp service pack2

Question 1 :
                  i want to connect to sql server 2000 from the operating system windows xp service pack2.
But 1433(default port for sql server) not getting in that operating system.Please tell me the setting for get that port.Otherwise tell me any other solution for got the port 1433.Itried with some changing the firewall settings & telnet commands.But iam unable to do that.Please tell me the solution for this.

Question 2 :
                   Please tell me the supported windows operating systems which is enabled the port 1433.Otherwise tell me the solution for getting the port in windows server 2003.Start Free Trial
