The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Hello.

I am going to pull the remaining few hair left in a second.
I thought I know Excel and can use it in a quite advanced way, but....

I have a spreadsheet I created a looooong time ago. There is a simple macro sorting cells based on dates and recalculating it.
The spreadsheet was created in Excel 2003 or 2000. This doesn't matter, however.

Because I used a few computers with different versions of Excel I saved the format as 2003 when using a computer with Excel version 2007. When I run the file on 2007 I would get a security notification and I would need to enable the content.
It was fine with me.

Now I am going to use Excel 2007 for this file, only. So I changed the format of it to .xlsm, changed the location of the file to trusted locations and.....
when I try to run the macro I get a warning that my security is too high and I should change it.

So I checked the Macro Settings in Trust Centre and it says....  Disable all macros with notification. But there is no notification.

Then I removed the location of the file from 'trusted' and I get the notification about the Links, but macros have still no notification to enable macros. The Security Alert says:

This file contains encrypted macros that have been disabled because there is no antivirus software installed that can scan them. To run these macros, remove the encryption or permission restrictions on the file.

I have antivirus software that can scan macros in the first place. Then I am the owner of the file.

How do I enable the macro and run it?

Thank you.
