CPU usage on Unix

Asked by nivo_Z in Perl Programming Language

Hi,

I want to get the overall cpu used, in % (like the output in "vmstat"), on Unix systems.
I just need that number, the overall % that is currently used, not for a specific pid.
Can this be done with Perl on Unix? (I got the code for Perl on Windows, only Unix is missing).
