Exchange 2003 and BES

So we use exchange in a different manner than it should be used. The IT guy before me setup exchange here and has the pop3 email hosted by the ISP. So in outlook there are 2 accounts. One for exchange and one for the pop3 account. We have a bunch of BB and I am thinking of installing BPS.

The users want to be able to leave their outlook open all the time and have it check the pop3 account every 5 minutes automatically. That is fine and is easily set up. They want those emails that come through to their outlook to go to their BB as well. Does not have to be immediately but I figured for the low cost investment of BPS I could have it done instantly.

Will BPS handle this type of configuration? I assume BPS just checks the exchange mailbox and then forwards mail to the BB when new mail arrives whether it be through exchange or the pop3 account set up at each workstation in outlook.

Am I assuming correctly? Will mail be reconciled through to each BB no matter what email account the messages come through to the exchange mailbox?
