Open GL with Nvidia Riva TNT2 model 64

Hi,
I installed Starry Night Pro Plus version 6 (Astronomy program). Upon startup, I get a message stating that the program needs OpenGL for advanced graphics and that OpenGL failed to initialize.

What is OpenGL and does my graphics card support it?  If so, how can I download it? By the way, I looked for the device in "Device Manager" and it said that the installed driver is the best available driver for the card.
