Email To SMS, for a nextel cellphone in PERU

I just want to know if anyone knows if its possible to email an SMS message to PERU when the recipients mobil carrier is NEXTEL.  This would be very helpful for me, because, I have a lot of friends in PERU with Nextel and they are never by a computer :P
