How do I bypass or delete a corrupted file in SCO Unix?

Tags:

SCO, Openserver, 5.05

I have SCO Openserver 5.05 and a proprietary office management program which I've used for years for office client demographics and scheduling only.  The original vendor is no longer available.  I am now unable to access the scheduling portion because I'm getting an error message that the data file is corrupted.  How can I delete/repair/replace this file?

On a related subject, how much of a project would it be to export the data, principally demographic, to another platform (probably Windows based)?  Would it be easier just to reenter into a new program?  There are about 15,000 total clients of which 4000 are active.  Thanks.
