how to recognize USB HDD in single user mode ?

my freebsd7 system reports hat my USB hard disk has some inconsistency in the file system and it needs to be checked, so while booting up it is getting me in single user mode with a shell prompt only. but in single user mode fsck can't find my USB HDD /dev/da0s1 , now how can I mark that disk clean or get that checked ?Start Free Trial
