server hanged with no ping response, no error found during hang period

Hi,

I have windows server 2003 R2 64-bit SP2 running as file and print server.Its a HP server.The server got hanged for half an hour and came up after hard reboot.During the Hang Peroid there was no error in the event logs.But after hard reboot there was an system error 1003 reported in the event viewer.We logged a call in HP and they diagnose the IML logs and they are telling that its a microsoft OS bugs.Bug check error i.e. Stop 0x0000000A. So please suggest is it a microsoft OS issue.
