Can't find "\windows\system32\config\system"  Status: "0xc000000f"

SBS 2008

Yesterday our server stopped working therefore we re-started it. On re-start it stuck on 'applying user settings' (i left it on over night). This morning I returned to work to find the server was now stuck on a boot page and so I restarted the server again.

Since then we've now get the following message:

File: "\windows\system32\config\system"
Status: "0xc000000f"
Info: WIndows failed to load because the system registry file is missing or corrupt

Stupidly we do not have a back up in place as we've only just recently migrated to SBS 2008.

I've tried using the SBS 2008 installation CD repair options, but because we don't have a back up we cant restor, the memory test results in no errors and I'v used Command Prompt to see what is in the following directory '"\windows\system32\config\system" and it appears to have to files '.' and '..'

As you may have worked out my understanding of SBS 2008 is not strong. We are a small start up with an action pack subscription which means we get Microsoft products at a big discount.

Anyway I just need it working URGENTLY. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
