XP clients loosing connection to Server 2008

We have a domain mostly with Server 2003 but now also with serveral 2008 servers. One serves as a file server. Our fully patched XP Pro clients loose access to shared network drives after a while. Only rebooting the server can fix the issue. The clients start to hang, they cannot acces network shares, if I log in as a domain admin and try \\servername\c$ the connection never goes thru. The network card is Broadcom BCM5708C Nextreme II GigE with the latest driver. I can RDP to the server when it hangs, I can ping it also. This only happens to this one server. I have deselected IP6 on the server, we are not using it here. What can I check next?Start Free Trial
