Dear All,
I'm having trouble with distributing software using SCCM 2007, and I was hoping that you can help me. Our SCCM site is a primary site in mixed mode, with no parent site. The 'Advertised Programs Client Agent' is enabled. The roles installed are: Component server, Distribution point, Management point, Reporting point, Site server, Site system, Database server.
I can successfully create a package, create a program inside it, and advertise it to the collection I want it to deploy in. I also set it to install automatically (Assign).
The problem is that the computers in the group receive the advertisement, but instead of installing it, they appear to do nothing. If I run the "Status of a specific advertisement" report, the status of the advertisement is 'Waiting'. I've checked the %windir%\System32\ccm\Logs
\execmgr.l
og file on the client, and it repeats
ContentAvailable ignoring update with no DPs for content request ID
every 5-10 minutes. I've went on to check if the distribution share can be accessed (yes), if the content is there (yes), and the distribution point status in Site Database > Computer Management > Software distribution > Packages > [Package.name] > Package status (State:Installed).
The collection has both Windows XP and Windows Vista clients.
Any input would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
