Changing a user name on a Windows Network

Asked by snyperj in Windows XP Operating System, Windows NT Networking

One of my employees was recently married so she wanted to have her all of her user type accounts (windows login, exchange email, etc) switched over.  We user a first letter of first name and the whole last name here where we work... example JDoe.   So she went into our IT department and was told that it was a big deal and required a lot of work and they couldn't do it until next week.  Is that true- or was she just being blown off?Start Free Trial
