I have just upgraded my home network - just a few computers - with a new linksys Gbit router (wireless-n and wired). I have a new GBit switch and a new Buffalo LinkStation 1TB mini NAS system all hooked up to the wired network. I am backing up for the first time and am very disappointed with the speed even after increasing the packet size to jumbo both in the PC card and in the NAS unit.. Most recent 40 minutes saw 700MB backed up, so something like 20MB/minute which seems slow based on posts I have read. Any ideas?
