SBS 2003 Exchange SMTP Q

Client sends a mailer (<100 at a time) the SMTP Q gets choked with the same email in a Retry state.

This happens If there are one or more bad address in the recipient list.

The same email is listed perhaps 50 or 60 times and only when they are all deleted with NDR can you identify the rouge address.  Also only then can email that has been queueing up behind it leave the Q which is the real problem.

The emails are generated via an application (ASPIRE)

Any ideas how I  can stop this happening, any help appreciated.

Thanks.
