Email not "sending" from within Dynamics CRM 4.0

My configuration: Dynamics CRM 4.0 w/ SQL Server 2005 installed on server #1, MS Exchange 2003 with CRM E-mail Router on server #2. My setup: CRM works great, have data entered, customized fields, everything tests great along with my installed SQL Server, Exchange is installed and works perfectly as well via the OWA and Outlook, no hiccups.

Then I installed the CRM e-mail router and thats where the fun began. Tried on 3 servers, 2 workstations and never could get it to work properly, finally stumbled upon a Dynamics CRM engineer's video tutorials that step by step showed me the online community and books were wrong. Followed the steps and lo and behold the Email Router tested successfully. Finally! Just for chuckles I followed another video and created a forward box which also tested successfully. Now the entire configuration works perfectly, or so I thought.

Outgoing emails will not send out from within CRM, incoming works fine and is also tracked properly within the account the email belongs to, but when sending email NOTHING. After sending an email the History shows the "Email" has "completed", but to confirm by opening the email the messages in the highlit bar begin: "This message has not yet been submitted for delivery. For more information see help." then followed by "This message has not yet been submitted for delivery. # attempts have been made so far." Shortly followed by the final dreaded message (I believe after 9 or 10 attempts): "This message delivery has failed. It must be resubmitted for any further processing"

Mind you I've configured the users to utilize the email router AND forward box but get same message either way. I've also properly configured the Tools|Options|Email|Credentials for email routing but still same message. I've tried every solution online and still no outgoing. FYI I also have email router restarting every 10 minutes, as some have claimed this works, not in my case :(

So with that description the CRM, SQL, Exchange, Email router all are installed correctly but obviously something is missing or configured incorrectly within CRM. I asume this but just don't know and after two weeks I am at wits end and desparately need some help. Any suggestions in this expert community?Start Free Trial
