  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Multimedia audio controller ISSUES!!!! VIA AC'97

Ok, I have been driving myself nuts trying to figure this out!!!! A few months ago my motherboard got fried so I took it in and had it replaced. I got it home and my sound worked for a few days, then quit. This is the info I have gathered/alerts I have received:

VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver (this option is not available though).

No sound card was found.  If one is expected, you should install a sound driver provided by the hardware manufacturer.

legacy audio drivers-properties, empty

I've gone to driverguide.com (http://members.driverguide.com/index.php?companyid=1112&devicetypeid=19&action=wizard_step_3&company=1112&Submit=%A0%A0SELECT+COMPANY%A0%3E%3E%A0%A0) but there are like, 100 options, I don't know what to do!!!!!

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
