I was looking for an opensource/free solution to implementing a centralized database to contacts and distribution lists for outlook address book. OpenLDAP server seemed like a good solution until I came accross a problem with users not being able to edit contacts from outlook address book and contacts not being visible upon address book viewing unless you search your contacts by typing existing characters. You could list the full list of contacts by searching in the field with an empty space (the only way to view the full list of contacts).
My question is if there is a way to display a full list of contacts without the search function in outlook address book? Are there any alternatives to OpenLDAP as to being able to edit your contact list on the server with outlook?
