Had my iPhone 3G stolen - how to protect my data and identity now?

I was mugged last night and I had my iPhone stolen from me. My iphone is connected by the mail account to my gmail and with the Facebook application to my Facebook account and also my work email account through exchange.

From my computer today I have now changed the password on my gmail, facebook and work logins. Am I safe? If the thief on my iphone opens the Facebook application will it still let him into my facebook or because my login creditials have changed will it prompt for the password and he be forced to sign in? I know this would happen on a webpage but not sure about the iPhone Facebook application. Also does anyone know if this behavior is also there for my mail accounts, gmail and work in the iPhone Mail application.

I know gmail has this in place:

So I have remotely logged out all other sessions, will this effectively stop the iPhone Mail application fetching mail or not? and does Facebook have a similar feature where I can remotely logout all other sessions? if they don't have this they really need it I have so much information stored in my Facebook account and didn't realise how vulnerable I was.

Also I just went into my gmail settings and disabled pop and imap, will this stop the iPhone application from fetching new mail and will the Mail application cease function for these accounts? or can the theif still access all my old emails just not get new emails.

I am very worried about my data and identity theft, what else can I do in this situation? Also is there anything I can do in iTunes? I do plan on buying another iPhone and restoring my last backup to it so I haven't lost the data. Damn this is so annoying and frustrating! Does anyone else have any advice for me in this situation? When the phone was stolen from me I had it open unlocked and was reading a text message on the street, he attacked me and took the phone I gave chase but quickly lost him, so I don't know if he has the screen open or it is password protected and can feel safe know he is not reading all my stuff. I have reported it to O2 my carrier in the UK and they have blocked the sim.
